Wacky races experience day Tuesday 3rd of November 2009 Filed under What Present To Buy For Someone With A Sense Of Fun Experience days are the perfect gift for that person who has everything and driving experiences are amongst the most popular. Here's a driving day that is not just different but guaranteed to be a lot of fun - the Wacky Racers Driving Experience. Designed by TV's mechanic Edd China, these hair-brained driving contraptions offer an exhilarating and unusual driving experience. The day begins with light refreshments and a safety briefing. Once kitted out in race overalls it's down to the track for the first activity of the day - a chauffeur driven fully equipped office. Jackets and ties are added for authenticity and, strapped securely to an office chair, it's off for an exhilirating three laps of the Oval Raceway at breakneck speeds. Next up is the 87 mph groovy leopard print sofa ride (as seen on TV's Top Gear, no less) for another three breathtaking laps. Then you get the opportunity to take the controls of a Double-Decker car (providing you are over 16 years old) – the driver in the top car controls the steering whilst another driver in the bottom car controls the pedals! Aaghhh!!! After all that excitement it's time to relax (or maybe not) in the world's fastest street-legal bed. Snugly tucked under a duvet, you will be chauffeur-driven around the British countryside to take in scenic views on a five mile ride before returning to the Raceway. The day will come to a close at the Wacky Racer HQ where you will have refreshments and receive a personalised souvenir certificate telling the world what an amazing day you've had and how silly you looked. This experience lasts around 3 hours and is available at the Oval Raceway in Northamptonshire (Midlands). Buying this experience for a loved one is easy. You will receive a voucher which is valid for 10 months. The Wacky Racers Driving Experience is available online for £99 click here for more details |
